RENTABILIWEB BECOMES A MEMBER OF THE GROUPEMENT CARTE BANCAIRE

1st online payment institution to join the “Groupement carte bancaire” A decisive stage in the imminent provision of payment solutions

In accordance with its corporate operating plan, Rentabiliweb announced its having joined the Groupement Carte Bancaire interbank network, in the capacity of a member, on 24th June 2011. It is associated with the BPCE Group (Banque Populaire Caisse d’Epargne), the second largest bank group in France.
Rentabiliweb has thus become the first Payment Institution specialised in the acquisition of online transactions to join the interbank trade association.
Rentabiliweb henceforth possesses the technical, statutory and commercial capacities allowing it to make its value added payment services available for e-commerce in Europe on a mass scale.
The Groupement Carte Bancaire, created in 1984, is responsible for organising the CB interbank system by means of three fundamental tasks: managing interbank cooperation, guaranteeing the security of the CB interbank system and organising the authorisation and clearing of transactions between its members.
